Lakeland: The Movie

I have just finished putting up Lakeland: The Movie micro-site for Bubble Up TV.  It’s a simple, clean and dark site so the film can take centre stage should you decide to watch it in situ (although there is a full-screen mode of course).

Most interesting for me is that I’ve been able to use the new Dynamo player for the first time.  It’s a really smart way of including premium content to any blog or website without the need for all the normal bits and pieces you’d usually use in a secure checkout (i.e. SSL certificate, Encrypted data, Forms, Credit Card details submission etc.)

It’s very simple to use and is a very cost-effective solution to any budding film maker out there.  Probably the only downside is that it requires javascript and flash to run (but the web almost runs on javascript these days so that’s not the end of the world, just not iphone or ipad friendly).

Having said that, it’s been a great experience using the player,  and when it’s through it’s infancy period, I expect it will be pretty successful.
