Tanners Wine Merchants
Tanners is one of Britain's finest independent wine merchants - a five-generation family business based in Shrewsbury with a heritage stretching back to 1842. The brief was a migration from Magento to Shopify Plus, opening up new business opportunities that simply weren't available on their old platform.
The challenge
As the business expanded internationally, Magento was showing its limits. Managing diverse markets, languages, and fulfilment centres from a single platform was increasingly painful. They needed a robust, multi-market setup that could handle region-specific catalogues, pricing, and fulfilment - across UK, US, and EU - without losing the cohesive brand experience their customers expect.
The work
The store was migrated to Shopify Plus and transformed into a fully internationalised, multi-language platform. Three fulfilment centres were integrated, inventory management was overhauled, and B2B and B2C functionality were brought together under one roof - giving Tanners new commercial possibilities that had previously been out of reach.
The result
30% increase in total sales. 23% in AOV. 11% increase in total orders.
